The last thing men need is another place to go to hear that they are blowing it and that they just need to 'try harder' or 'get their act together'. Men need to find LIFE. They need adventure, beauty, and the passion and courage to live from their hearts. Opening Weekend is a start.
The weekend is like a guided expedition. It’s an invitation to dive deep into the masculine journey...because in order for a man to find true Life, he has to search for it. He has to take an expedition that involves risk and most of all, a point of no return. Every man needs a moment that changes everything.
You see, God is after every man…He is after you. Not to tame you or make you a nice guy. We're not talking about more religion or more rules. God's story is far grander than making sure you stop smoking or swearing so much. He wants to take you deeper into who you were always meant to be, who He created you to be. God wants to peel away the layers holding you back from your true destiny, to lead you into true Freedom and to then turn you loose on a world desperate for men who are fully ALIVE!
This weekend is designed for you to do just that – to awaken those core desires of your heart and to set you on a path to get your heart back. We want you to know what it means to live...really live!
This journey involves risk, demands courage and promises great reward for those men who step forward wanting God’s heart for them. It is your opportunity, your time, to step out and discover the Life you have always wanted.

Opening Weekend is a four-day quest for into the recovery of your masculine heart as outlined in John Eldredge's book, Wild at Heart. Through instructor-led sessions, DVD-based teaching (from John Eldredge and Ransomed Heart Ministries) teaching sessions, films, adventure activities, guided periods of reflection, journaling and times alone, we have designed an expedition of the heart that will start you on a journey of freedom and life that you desperately desire deep inside. You will never be the same.

As a team, our purpose is to guide you through the weekend, as other men have done for us. Ultimately our goal is not to lead you, but rather for you to join us in this expedition for all of our hearts. As for us, each member of the team has incredible stories from our adventures, our battles and our journey. We hope that these encourage you to embark on the path God has for you. No matter what age you are, God has His pen out and is ready to write an epic ballad in your life. So be sure in the fact that there is a group of good and true men here to walk with you on this weekend. We have been praying and preparing for many months to share our time together. We look forward to meeting you again, or for the first time. Until our paths cross, God speed.
